Our Breed Series is for anyone who wants to learn more about their specific dog and its breed! In this series we are deep diving into each individual dog breed and discussing their attributes, behaviours and characteristics, and what we need to know in order to understand them properly and care for them correctly.
In this video Laura is looking at Tigs, the Black Labrador, a short coat dog and will be discussing everything you need to know about looking after this type of coat; how to groom them, how often to brush them, when to go the groomers, how to make sure their coat is healthy and how to bath them.
Most people who own short coat dogs don't think they have to go to the groomers with them, which is not accurate. All dogs need to go to the groomers for a check up regardless as groomers help to identify any health problems, but short coats need to be brushed and treated just like any coat.
