Dog Behaviour: In the Salon
9m 12s
As part of dog behaviour series we will be looking at the different behaviours of dogs and how to professionally deal with them and work with them in the salon.
For this first episode of the series Laura will be talking about the overall behaviours of dogs, and what we can or do experience in the salon. Laura will discuss anxious, aggressive, and excited dogs, how to deal with them, how to stay in control when working with them and how to address or deal with the customers/owners of the dogs.
In the salon we can experience a lot of different behaviours and temperaments of dogs, and we can also come in contact with a lot of different owners and customers, so it is important to not just look at the behaviour of the dog but also the behaviour of its owner. Laura explains that no dog is born aggressive or anxious and that it is down to the owner to train them in the right way. In this video Laura will also discuss the instinctive nature of dogs so that we can have a better chance of understanding them and their actions in the salon.
