How to Brush a Cat
4m 22s
In this video Laura will be showing you how to brush a cat with a slicker brush. If you have a cat you should also have a brush similar to this one because they are the best at getting all the access fur out and getting in between all knots. It is not painful for the cat, it is very relaxing and nice for them.
Most cats love to be stroked and massaged.
Brushing a cat is very much like a massage for them and they typically tend to enjoy it a lot. So, if you are looking to bond with your cat and build a positive relationship with them then brushing them regularly is a really good idea.
Particularly with cats it is really important to regularly brush them because they malt a lot, and if you want to avoid your house, furniture and clothes being covered in fur then brushing them once a week with a professional brush is really important.
Make sure you can read your cat and identify when the action of brushing is stressing them out or discomforting them, then you can stop and carry on with the action another time. You can find this out in our cat handing and moving video.
Have fun with your cat!
