Did you know that you are supposed to cut the nails of a cat? The reason why your cat is scratching at surfaces in your home like your sofa or table is because they are trying to file their own nails down.
If you want to avoid scratching damage then it is a good idea to clip your cats nails. Also, if the nails of your cat get too long then it can be uncomfortable for them.
Ideally, you would cut the cats nails once a month to keep them at a good and consistent length - this is the same with their hair if it is a long haired cat.
Now, because cats are a bit more sensitive to being groomed than dogs, and their nails are a lot sharper than dogs nails, knowing exactly how to cut cats nails is extremely important and Laura is going to show your how to safely and professionally do it in this video.
